Dr. Julia Shaw, born in Cologne and raised in Canada, is a bestselling author, PhD criminal psychologist and memory expert. At University College London (UCL), she conducts research in the field of legal psychology, memory and artificial intelligence. She also advises the police, the German armed forces, lawyers, the judiciary and business in German and English-speaking countries. In 2017, she founded the startup SPOT in Silicon Valley, which uses artificial intelligence to try to combat discrimination in business. Her nonfiction debut, "The Deceptive Memory," became an international bestseller in 2016 and was published in 20 languages. In fall 2018, she published her second international bestseller, "Evil. The Psychology of Our Abysses." In 2022, her personal award-winning book "Bi. Discovering Diverse Love" in Germany, the UK and the USA.
